| Pagosa Springs, the county seat of Archuleta County, is located in the upper San Juan River Basin of Southwest Colorado. The limited precipitation (12 inches per year) and the high elevation (7,105 ft) lead to warm, clear summer days and cool evenings. The National Forest Lands surrounding Pagosa Springs, as well as the hot springs, make our town a primary tourist destination.
