The City of Montrose is a community of just over 16,000 citizens nestled in the western slopes of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Scenic views from center of town include the snow capped San Juan mountains which decorate the skyline to the south, and the majestic Grand Mesa to the north. To the west is the Uncompahgre Plateau with its forests of pine and aspen trees. The beautiful ridges of the Black Canyon National Park can be seen to the east. Everything that Colorado has to offer is either here or close by. Being nestled in a valley, Montrose enjoys the beauty of all four seasons without the extreme cold of the north wind and heavy snows and rains from the southwest.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT OUR MISSION:

Habitat For Humanity of Montrose County became an affiliate in July 1991. Montrose County Habitat for Humanity has moved and renovated one Habitat home and has constructed 29 new Habitat homes since July 1991.

In 1996 the affiliate began developing a 7 1/2 acre subdivision within the Montrose city limits. The 7 1/2 acres have been subdivided into 29 lots, and are now known as the Mesa Vista Habitat Community. Nineteen Habitat families now reside in Mesa Vista, and with God's help, two more families will be able to move in during 2008.

Your generous contributions may be made through all the following methods:
